About Us

Postal Forum (postalforum.in) is an independent information platform dedicated exclusively to India Post employees — with a special focus on Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), Branch Postmasters (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmasters (ABPM), and departmental postal staff across all 23 postal circles in India.

We started this platform because we saw a real gap: postal employees and GDS workers struggled to find clear, plain-language explanations of official circulars, service rules, IT portals, and exam updates. Government documents are often complex and scattered across multiple official websites. Postal Forum exists to bridge that gap.

Who We Are

Postal Forum is run by a small team of individuals with a deep interest in India Post operations, GDS service matters, and postal IT systems. Our contributors include current and former postal department staff, exam aspirants, and researchers who follow India Post updates closely.

We are not affiliated with the Department of Posts, India Post, or any government body. We are an independent media platform. All content is based on publicly available official notifications, circulars, and verified sources.

What We Cover

Our content is organised across four core areas:

  • GDS News & Updates: Salary structure, DA revisions, transfer portal, promotion exams, engagement schedules, and service rules for Gramin Dak Sevaks.
  • IT Tools & Portals: Step-by-step guides for IT 2.0 ESS portal, DSS App, IPPB, Dak Sewa App, and all India Post digital tools.
  • Training & Dak Karmayogi: Course answers with explanations, module notes, and practical guidance for iGot Karmayogi and Dak Karmayogi training programmes.
  • Documents & Forms: Official forms, PDFs, merit lists, and circulars — with explanatory context so employees understand what each document is for and how to use it.

Every piece of content is manually written and reviewed. We do not auto-generate or bulk-publish content.

Our Editorial Standards

We hold ourselves to a clear set of principles:

  • All information is sourced from official India Post communications, government portals, and verified postal news.
  • We clearly separate factual reporting from editorial commentary.
  • We update articles regularly to reflect the latest circulars and policy changes.
  • We do not publish misleading headlines or clickbait.
  • If we make a factual error, we correct it promptly and transparently.

Accuracy matters more to us than speed. We would rather publish a thorough, verified article later than rush out incorrect information.

Our Community

Postal Forum is more than a website — it is a community. Over 7,000 postal employees, GDS workers, and exam aspirants are part of our WhatsApp channel and Telegram group. Many of our articles are written in direct response to questions raised by real employees in these communities.

If you have a question, correction, or topic suggestion, we genuinely want to hear from you. Our content is shaped by the needs of the people it serves.

Advertising & Independence

Postal Forum is a free platform. We display advertisements to cover operating costs. All advertising is served through Google AdSense and complies with Google’s publisher policies. Advertisers have no influence over our editorial content — what we write is determined entirely by what is useful and accurate for our readers.

We clearly label all sponsored or promotional content if and when it appears.
